Things Worth Emailing About

• When something sold out will return. We can usually name the firing it is in.
• Replacing a broken piece. Tell us roughly when you bought it so we can match the glaze year.
• Commissions. Sets, wedding lists, a serving piece to a particular size. We take a handful a year.
• Whether a glaze suits a form. The honest answer is on the glazes page, but ask anyway.

Commissions

We will happily throw a set to a size that is not in the collection, within reason — the wheel and the kiln both have limits, and anything over about 400 mm across is beyond ours. Commissions are quoted after a conversation, take eight to ten weeks, and are paid half up front.

What we will not do is copy another potter's work. People ask, usually holding a photograph. The answer is always no and it is not a negotiation.

Post And Packing

Everything goes out double-boxed with paper, not plastic bubble. Breakages in transit run at about one parcel in ninety, and we replace them without argument — tell us within a week and keep the packaging if you can, because the courier occasionally asks.

Visiting

Come on a Thursday if you want to see the wheels running; Saturdays are quieter for talking. Ring first if you are making a long trip, because a kiln-opening day occasionally takes precedence over the shop.
